synavision, the specialist in AI-supported quality assurance for building technology from design to operation, has optimized the energy efficiency of a newly constructed multifunctional building for Schöck Bauteile GmbH in Baden-Baden.
synavision supported both the building automation contractor in optimizing the efficiency of the heat pumps and improving climate comfort in the rooms, as well as the operator through intelligent monitoring to ensure efficient operation and the long-term preservation of the systems’ value. The extensive measures already resulted in savings of approximately 20 tons of CO2 emissions per year just from improved parameterization of the system control during commissioning. Using data-driven optimization potential identified through a Digital Twin of the building’s automation functions, synavision’s software ensured a quick commissioning and tuning process for low operating costs, reduced CO2 emissions, and a comfortable indoor climate right from the start.
“With synavision, we have received comprehensive digital quality assurance for the building automation trade for the first time. The facts and graphics from the synavision analysis provided full transparency on the construction site, allowing optimization measures for operational efficiency to be quickly implemented in a constructive process with all parties involved,” explains Wolfgang Smets, Head of Supply Chain Management and project manager of the building at Schöck Bauteile GmbH. “Through intelligent data analysis with the synavision software, we can also quickly identify long-term optimization potential at a glance. This is a significant support in operating the complex plant technology.”
“Our digital quality management helps clients define goals in the planning phase in a precise and verifiable manner, and then ensures that these goals are achieved throughout the entire project, both in terms of operating costs and climate quality,” explains Dr. Stefan Plesser, Managing Director of synavision GmbH, and adds: “In addition to significant time savings and optimal working conditions for users, substantial energy and CO2 savings are the norm.”
Schöck constructed the multifunctional building to Passive House standards and commissioned it in 2020. The smart building offers multifunctional use options, an underground parking garage, production areas, and numerous office spaces. The top floor also includes a visitor and conference center with product display opportunities. The building was awarded LEED certification in the “Platinum” category. And the quality assurance provided by synavision ensures that the building will continue to meet its ambitious goals in the long term.
